My children always asked me to tell them stories, especially during bedtime. I always can't remember the stories, so I have to read them once or twice before bedtime. Sometimes I just read them stories from the books, and sometimes I just simply make up some stories on my own.
There are actually a list of stories which I'd like to tell my children, they are written down according to the appropriate age as well. I just checked it out and found that there are some stories which are suitable for 3 years old, and I haven't tell my children yet, not even my elder son who is turning 7 soon.
So now, I need to look for the stories online for 3 years old, then I will look for the rest.
Do you always tell or read stories to you children? Do you read from a book or tell from your memory?

@infatuatedbby I found that by me reading or telling stories to my children, they like to read on their own, though they can't really read yet at the moment. They can always sit down and "read" the books for quite a long time. Even though I didn't officially teach my son to read yet, he can recognize a few words from the books. So I always think it's good to tell or read stories to the children.

@kaka135 Yes, me too! I had to read to myself, I didn't like that too much though, haha.
