Blubbering Over Christmas Songs

Yesterday a rather odd thing happened. I still haven’t had time to get my house ready for Christmas decorating. I was in the kitchen and over the radio here in Riga, Latvia they play Christmas songs in both English and Latvian. “Oh, Christmas Tree” was playing on the radio and suddenly I got all sentimental. There I am in the middle of the kitchen blubbering over this song. I couldn’t understand where this was all coming from. Thank heavens they weren’t playing a song like “Silent Night”. I guess I could use a good dose of “Rock Around the Christmas Tree”. Anyway I got over it quickly and late on I had a good chuckle over the dimwit standing in the kitchen blubbering over a Christmas song. Perhaps I’m coming down with something or perhaps it’s this gray and dreary weather that is getting to me because today I am so tired that I keep napping all day long. When I do get up I still feel so tired I can barely put one foot in front of the other.

I always feel tired. It is hard for me to choose a favorite Christmas song because they all feel my heart with joy.

I don't think there is anything wrong with feeling sentimental about Christmas music. I've been listening to a lot of it, and I'll admit it affects me, too.

It is funny what can move us to tears sometimes. I do hope you're not coming down with an illness. In Australia, we'd suspect Ross River virus borne by mosquitoes if we were feeling tired all the time.

@JudyEv I believe I've just got a combination of a bit of holiday sadness and holiday stress because I have to get everything done and the time is moving super fast.

@RasmaSandra I do hope things improve then. We can get overwhelmed at times.
