Subliminal Mind

Is there a power within the subliminal mind? Actually I think so. Let me explain. Many do not believe in this and many get consumed by this as well. I never got consumed with anything until I got married years ago. Then after some years I had children. Now, this is somewhat normal. Many people marry and trust their spouse unconditionally. Which is totally understandable. but then something happens. We let our guard down. We let go thinking this is the right move. We love and we trust. And then we are opened to accepting subliminal signals. I learned at a young age that trusting someone too much would result in bad news or being taken advantage of. So I always trust a little. It worked for years, still does. But when I married I thought that was it for life. So, what did I do, I let myself trust 100 percent. Bad move. Right? Well, I found out years later it was. And I was susceptible to those subliminal messages. Not quite like being brainwashed but those underlying messages of things are okay, things are good. I realized too late that I was being consumed by a subliminal power. Signals telling me one thing but the reality was totally different. Now, this is partly my story but many have experienced this as well. I know I am not alone here. I knew I had my inner voice telling something wasn’t quite right. But I actually ignored them. Thinking I was on top of things. And I knew the truth. Well, that wasn’t the case. You see, I found out too late that I was cheated on and lied to. Not once, but twice. I sat there thinking, how in this world could this happen to me. Of all people. Then I sat and realized that this wasn’t my fault. Well, maybe partly. I did let my guard down and trusted my spouse. I believed she couldn’t and wouldn’t do anything wrong. I actually believed she loved me and cared for me unconditionally as I did her. How wrong was I. I felt like a fool. I was taken advantage of. And simply by being subliminally controlled. Yes, that’s what I said, I was controlled by the sublime. Strange, I know. Maybe some don’t believe this, but it is true. Well, needless to say, since all that I have returned to my original self. No longer giving all my trust to anyone. It keeps those sublime signals away. Thus, in simple words, I eliminated all those negative subliminal signals and instead put only the positive spin on my thoughts. That way I will be well protected from ever being controlled again. What do you think about this topic? I think it’s true, I lived it. And I overcame it. I call it gut instinct at least for me inertia that is how it applies. I many times should have listened more to that instinct would have saved me a lot of heartache in life. Someone actually threw a fit when I said I did not trust them. That was the beginning of the end, and no loss to me.

@TiarasOceanView That's the thing. It does not stick for long. It stays there for a time. But some aspects of it do wind up conditioning our minds to think that way.

that gut instinct is something we all should listen to. That is our circuit breaker sort of. it kicks in as a prevention mechanism. But not everyone listens to that gut feeling.

I think the mind picks up on way more than we realize. Body language, sounds, smells. You know how dogs seem to tell what a person is really like, and react to that, not necc how they are acting? I always figured they could really smell how the person was feeling and sense the small movements of the face and the body languages that show intent. You can tell a dog they are the worst thing in the world, but if you say and sound loving (and dont really mean what you are saying) they react to tone, not words. I think our minds sense way more of this, it gives us things like sixth senses, and gut feelings, etc. Plus we use so little of our minds, if we used more? Who knows what powers we might have in there

I guess you can use that analogy. Makes sense. But the subliminal is just that. It is so subtle that we hardly know it's there.

@inertia4 lol, most people aren't even aware of the non subtle stuff their minds already do

@Jessicalynnt I know, and that's what I mean. We can be programed I guess with subtle things. We do come accustom to them.

This is actually tough for me. My marriage vows said to trust one another, to pledge each other our faith. I stayed married for 10 years. We never fought. We got along okay, but the spark was gone. Then years later he broke up with me and married another woman. So I think we trust until we feel we must look deeper into what we trust.

I stopped the trust basically. I only trust enough now. Never all the way. Makes no sense to bother. I will never get burned again, that's for sure.

What you've described sounded like your gut instincts kicking in. Like Jess said, we collect more information via "sensory perceptions" than we give credit to. When these don't add up to the story presented, when inconsistencies rear ugly heads, it manifests itself as a vague "something is wrong" feeling. I often take this seriously, as like you I've had myself proven wrong again and again.

I see it differently. The gut instinct is, to me, a protective switch. The sublime is different. We can be overcome with it. And that could get us in trouble. As it did me.

@Drosophila These signals are mainly caused by others. almost like being hypnotized but not quite.

@inertia4 Ok, so what do you think caused these "sublime" stuff? :) Are these signals generated by yourself or others

Unfortunately ... I am going to agree with you. I wish I could say all people are trustworthy including one's spouse, lover ... friends. Sadly, they aren't. My husband and I become upset watching a woman con our friend ... he believes all she says ... she ends up getting a lot of money out of him by telling 'fibs' ... big, outrageous ones no one else would believe ... but him. He's most good-hearted, trusting. Sad.

That is a sad story. That's what I mean. People just don't seem to care anymore. They just want what they can get our of them.

@inertia4 Sadly ... there are people who are like that. It hurts me to see others being used.

I think it's true. Because of all the relationship advice that is out there, we listen to it instead of what we know is true.

Right. That is what I mean. We have it all around us on a daily basis. It is hard to avoid.

But would anything have changed had you not been so trusting? I'm a little confused though. You keep referring to the sublime which does not correlate to subliminal messaging for me. It's like you are using one word to pull two different subject matters together. As far as subliminal messages they have already been proven to work. As far as a sublime marriage well I haven't seen that creature yet.

Well, maybe I am saying it wrong. But the subliminal is I though, the sublime. Either way, we all get affected by these subliminal messages. As for if things would have changed for me, well yes, they would have been much better. I know that now after living it. And hindsight being 20/20.
