Day 3 – God’s Approval 2 Chronicles 3-5 It seems every church I attend has a building program. They want to improve the facility or build a new one. Some have elaborate plans, some basic, but all have one thing in common, they want it to be a thing of beauty. Solomon had hired the workmen to build the temple. As the building took shape one thing was clear – it was the most beautiful building ever constructed. Everything in the temple was overlaid in gold – doors, walls, ceilings, and everything in the holy of holies also was overlaid in gold. The only place you see brass is in the outer court of the temple where the sacrifices were made. Even the nails used in the temple were made of gold. One thing that struck me as I was reading this was God’s approval. Several times throughout scripture we see God’s stamp of approval on what was built or created. Genesis 1:31 And God saw everything that he had made, and, behold, it was very good. And the evening and the morning were the sixth day. Exodus 40:34 Then a cloud covered the tent of the congregation, and the glory of the LORD filled the tabernacle. 35 And Moses was not able to enter into the tent of the congregation, because the cloud abode thereon, and the glory of the LORD filled the tabernacle. (KJV) 2 Chronicles 5:13 It came even to pass, as the trumpeters and singers were as one, to make one sound to be heard in praising and thanking the LORD; and when they lifted up their voice with the trumpets and cymbals and instruments of music, and praised the LORD, saying, For he is good; for his mercy endures for ever: that then the house was filled with a cloud, even the house of the LORD; 14 So that the priests could not stand to minister by reason of the cloud: for the glory of the LORD had filled the house of God. (KJV) God’s stamp of approval is also on us. We are God’s workmanship. Ephesians 2:10 For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus unto good works, which God hath before ordained that we should walk in them. (KJV) 1 Corinthians 3:9 For we are laborers together with God: ye are God’s husbandry, ye are God’s building. (KJV) 1 Peter 2:5 Ye also, as lively stones, are built up a spiritual house, an holy priesthood, to offer up spiritual sacrifices, acceptable to God by Jesus Christ. (KJV) Therefore since we also are God’s workmanship, we should make every effort to be a thing of beauty for the Lord, so that when people see us they will know we belong to the Lord, just as everyone who saw Solomon’s Temple knew it was God’s house. Let God’s stamp of approval rest on your lives and no one will question whose you are. Let’s pray: Father, let my life have Your seal of approval over it so that when people see me they see You in me. In Jesus’ name, I pray, amen. I think you have a good knowledge of Bible because you can explain it to another.

I do not think god needs a fancy church for people to pray in.
