Flooding In The UK

I have heard that there are quite a few places in the UK affected by the flooding and heavy rain. I think it is subsiding now, but still those affected by the floods have pretty much lost everything. It is so sad, and I am glad I was not one of those that were affected by the dreadful floods. I hope that the insurance etc can help them rebuild their lives after such events. Were you affected by the floods?

Oh my, I hope no one was hurt, though it is sad when one loses everything, life is more important.

@gudheart I think there were two deaths. One man got blown by the wind into a bus and another drowned. Very sad.

It is very sad when I see those flooding on TV weather channels. Very, very sad. No flooding around here right now.

That is good to hear. Hope the rain does pour like that anytime soon.

Will insurance even cover flooding? Here it doesn't! Any & every excuse to never pay out. I hear you had droughts in another part of the country at another time. Does the infrastructure exist for collecting storm water & treating it?

@gudheart Then you need to roll up your sleeves & get building! Jeremy Corbyn's your man to get it done. If you support him, you can just vote for him or sign up for a membership today.

Here in California, we've had some welcome rain, but only minimal flooding.

@gudheart I hope it's not enough to make the flooding continue.

I can't imagine much worse than having my house flooded. Imagine the mess to clean up when the floods subsided.

Thankfully we weren't affected. It just got a bit soggy here. It's the wind that scares me more than the rain.

I know me too. I find the wind scarier and thunder storms.
