Do you get pulled in?
Are you often disappointed after reading an article?
This afternoon I was checking the local weather forecast when a headline caught my eye. This site is lauded for its reputable reporting.
Imagine how disappointed I felt after reading the news article. The shocking headline was not backed up by the reporting. The report was short on facts and seemed more interested in mocking the words of a couple of opinionated zealots, than reporting what actually ensued.
News reports seem to be more interested in attracting readers than iarting useful, fair and balanced information.

Agreed Morley. Marketing savvy has become the bottom line for everything we do. Even ordinary folks are made subconsciously aware of this trend. We should pause and ponder to realize that life has deeper meaning than just getting carried away with what others might appreciate - siva

Happening more and more. Choosing a good title is really important to getting good exposure for articles but it seems that delivering on what the title promises is starting to get left by the wayside.

@Morleyhunt Most of the time they want just to attract people and sell their papers.Who cares about accurate reporting.

I hate when they do that. But as we all know it's the title that gets us.
