Bad hotel rooms

I read an article on the internet, and the article contained photos of some of the worst hotel rooms around the world. There were dirty rooms and rooms full of mold, and other kinds of disgusting rooms.
I have stayed in many different types of hotel rooms myself, and many of them were budget rooms. When I travelled in Lithuania and Latvia in 2009 I didn't have much money and I stayed in cheap hostel rooms. The rooms were messy and a bit dirty, but not really bad like some of the pictures and the descriptions from that article.
Did you ever stay in budget accommodation? Was your room okay or did you have any problems?

In fact I don't have a high requirement for the hotels. Of course it shall be clean. Besides, it shall have hot water and toilet. Then it will be fine for me. The price for the hotels can be quite different everywhere. For example, you can live in a very nice hotel in Thailand with less money. You can enjoy the big and beautiful swimming pool there. Whereas you can just live in a small hotel in Singapore with the same price.

That is true. In some countries you can get a nice room without paying a lot of money, and in other countries accommodation is much more expensive. I have never been to Singapore, but I have looked at the hotel prices in Singapore, and the hotels generally look very expensive. I hope that I will still be able to go there one day.

@Porcospino But it is still fun in Singapore. Although it is a small country, but I still don't have time to visit all of the famous landmarks yet. I stayed there for five days. But it is not so far away from my city, so it is still convenient for me to fly there and have a few days relaxation.

@youless It is nice that Singapore is close to your home. I hope that you will get the chance to go back and explore some of the places in Singapore where you haven't been yet. I would like to visit Singapore one day, but it is very far from my country, and the plane ticket is expensive.

I stayed in a hotel with my family and that was related with temple visits. So the requirement was not so high. We reached in night and slept there and got up early morning, took bath and then rushed to temple as it was a crowded place. We needed a place to keep our luggage as we can move to temple without having stuffs with us and also sleeping at nigh in a safe place. The rate was reasonable as it was very common there, people do come there for visiting temple as the main purpose. Yes, the room was neat and clean and with other facilities.

It is nice that you found a neat and clean room with a reasonable price near the temple. In my country it is hard to find a room with a reasonable price. Even the cheapest rooms are relatively expensive.

It is nice that you never had to stay in bad hotel rooms. Some of those photos were awful, and it is definitely better to stay in a nice room.

So far, I never stay in the bad hotel room, where the room so dirty. When I went for traveling, usually I have a simple room, but it clean. Ceiling, wall and all stuff pretty good and comfortable for stay about one or two days, whereas it is included cheap room.

It is nice that you have never stayed in a dirty room. Simple rooms are fine as long as they are clean and comfortable. I have stayed in many different hotel rooms. Some of them were a bit messy and dirty, but not like some of the disgusting rooms from that article. In some countries the really cheap rooms are very bad.

I wouldn't like to stay in a room with mold either. That is disgusting and unhealthy as well. I happy that I never had to stay in the rooms from that article. They looked terrible and in some countries cheap rooms are really bad.
