As I said earlier, I did the first one the hard way. By now I could have had three pillows finished instead of one. I will say though, that it looks great. I don't know if I should wait and stuff them all together last, or stuff as I go along. I'm also trying to decide when to write on them, before the stuffing or after. Suggestions are welcome. Thanks for reading.

I'd stuff them all last. Giving the names plenty of time to dry.Good luck! Hope we get to see one.

Looks like I'm going to need to invest in a camera in order to show off the pillows. It will be fun to see who gets each one as I will not have any name tags on them.

I asked for suggestions on what to do for Christmas - Topic Discussion - My Christmas. I decided to make pillows with the fabric I got from my mother - Topic Discussion - My Christmas Part 2. The writing on it is the fruit of the Spirit - Love, Joy, Peace, Patience, Goodness, Gentleness, Meekness, Faith, Self-Control. I will have them all wrapped without nametags, and let them choose which one they want.

@just4him thanks for the short version, I had been following, knew they were presents, thought they were pillows but wasnt sure. I missed something about something being harder? or something, dunno.

I think I'm going to write first and stuff last. It makes more sense and will have a harder surface to write on. Thinking about getting a camera.

@just4him I haven't done fabric painting in years but your pillow idea is making me want to start doing it again

That's what I've decided is best. I have stencils and fabric paint for the writing.

I would say write on them before stuffing as you can lay the fabric flat.

I was thinking that would be the best way.

I have never thought of stuffing pillows! The only person I know to have done this is my late grandmother, and she passed away many decades ago. I think the modern living of buy and throw is causing us to lose the ability to make crafts.

I think it would be easier to write first.

I'd definitely say to write before you stuff. I just think it would be easier to write on something flat rather than fluffy. Love the idea of the pillows

I don't know what to write on them, but I think it would be easier to do the writing before they are stuffed.

it is the soft cotton right? That you stuff your pillows with?
