Holiday Weight Gain

Why is it that when we are finally in the home stretch for the year, here in the U.S. the three most gluttonous holidays hit us in the face (or in this case...gut) 1-2-3? First it's all the decadent Halloween candy. They, the scrumptious Thanksgiving dinner. Finally, all the Christmas goodies and meals. It's like we don't stand a chance at this time of year!
I knew I have been putting on weight because my pants have been getting tighter. I just wrote it off as being the dryer's fault for shrinking my clothes. But then I stepped on bathroom scale to weigh myself. I was not happy at all! Let's just say, after that little episode I put my scale in the bathroom corner and that's where that little basturd will stay until he apologizes!
How are you holding out during these tempting holidays? Are you able to manage your weight? Or is your bathroom scale on the naughty list as well?

@moffittjc LOL! Basturd! Love it!
I've never really pigged out over the holidays. I think I eat the same amount just like any other dinner.
I haven't weighed myself in a while. He has been in the naughty corner for a very long time. He won't come out until I feel he has some good things to tell me.

Us Americans are known for our gluttony! Apparently, we don't understand portion control like the rest of the world. We want everything bigger and bigger. Bigger plates of food. Bigger drinks. Bigger candy bars. And then we wonder why we are all so fat as a nation! haha

@VivaLaDani13 Even Texas gets in on the action too, with their slogan "Everything's bigger in Texas!"

I figure I got time, I'm going to eat what I want during Christmas. I will worry about the weight gain later. I walk 3 miles a day for a couple of months weight gone. All the while I will eat the yummy cookie lol.

I love your style! My problem is, I'm at that point now where I gain weight just by looking at food. It's a losing proposition for me! lol

@paigea I never can figure out how I eat a donut that weighs 3 ounces, yet I gain 3 pounds!

@moffittjc It is either that or make a request to Admin to grant you a little extra space temporarily due to Christmas feasting.

@Asylum Yes! I should totally contact Admin and ask for an "extension" to my profile square! It's the holiday season, a time of joy and sharing, I think they will grant my request as my "gift" for Christmas!

Hey, I need to get an animated avatar! It would be the best exercise I'd get all day! Pretty soon my fat head won't fit in the space anymore!

it's hard to control my weight during holidays. We have a catchword" Every holiday, our weight will be rising 1.5kg " our here.

My nephew says he lost a lot of weight by eating 8 hours a day and fasting for 16. Not literally eating for 8 hours solid but between say 11am and 7pm. I don't know whether to believe him or not but he has certainly lost a lot of weight. Maybe after Christmas...

I'm lucky I have a pretty good metabolism, so I'm not worried about losing weight after the holidays. It's just no fun to watch my belly expand throughout the holidays!

Yes, me too! That was a mighty bad joke he played on me! He really needs to apologize for displaying that astronomical weight number when I stepped on him!
