Bangs or no bangs

I have been thinking about getting my hair cut for about a month. I am trying to get the courage to get bangs again. My hair is all one length so I mostly wear hairbands and now I want something different. It took me forever to get my bangs to grow out last time that is why the hesitation, I'm afraid I won't like them. Do you like bangs straight across all one length or layered bangs? Or do you like bangs at an angle where it's like you are trying to get them to blend in with the rest of your hair?

Well as long as they're not those awful 80s "fringe bangs". Those weird wispy blond bangs. Ugh those are so weird. I like thick brown or red bangs!!!

No worries with that I have brown hair. It used to have some red in it. Now, I guess as I got older it got darker.

Personally I am not a fan of bangs.

I am envious. You must have tamed hair that just automatically looks good. Some women do. I am just not one of them. My hair lays flat and has no life on its own. I am also not one of those "naturally pretty" women who can pull off wearing anything. LOL

@mommaj Don't sell yourself short! I am sure your hair has many pluses! It could be like mine, wild and frizzy and constantly getting in my face!!!

My goodness, talking about hair?! Just get it cut real short, then you do not have to think so much about bang or no bang. It saves you a lot of time, and shampoo too.

I am definitely not coming near you. I hear you warming up your razors so you can shave my hair. Although I guess I wouldn't have to buy shampoo for a month.

I don't know how old you are but for middle and older ladies, 'bangs' are very kind and cheaper than botox when it comes to hiding the wrinkles. I think one length hair without bangs is very aging.

I didn't think of that, but you definitely have a great point. I am under 50 and over 30. HAHAHA. Couldn't help myself, I needed time to calculate my age, 41. I will have to consider that too. It might make a difference in the length of the bangs.

@mommaj Basically ask your hairdresser what she thinks and don't rush it.

@boiboing I don't actually have a hairdresser that I go to on a regular basis. Guess I should. LOL
