Do You Like Your Martini's Dirty?

I was just having a discussion with my bff from college about martinis. I tend to like many of the foo-foo martinis that have hit the scene in the last few years. Mixtures of premium vodkas, fruity liqueurs, and splashes of a juice or two truly hit the spot. For many years I tended bar. I have stirred and shaken many martinis. Vodka, Gin, Rocks, No Rocks, Olives, Onions, Dirty, Rocks, Up. However, I have never had a true martini. In all those years of tending bar, I never tasted a martini. Now that I have reached the ripe old age of 46, I kind of would like to try one. Very soon. I think.
