Down the drain, so I need a new chain

After I misplaced my glasses some time ago (took a little over a month to find them I think), Mom bought me a chain to put on them. Unfortunately, the little rubber things that slip onto the earpieces got stretched, and would come off. Mom said she had some things to help hold them on, but never got around to giving me any. Today I was leaning over the kitchen sink, and my glasses fell off. Off came the chain, and down the drain it went. ;( Mom took a peek on eBay, and said there were a thousand eyeglass chains for sale on there (I looked, and found over seven thousand). After a bit I found one I liked that was in the USA, so I bought it. Don't really know how long it will take to get here, but until then I need to keep a close eye on my glasses. 8)

A few years ago I had a Stupid Moment. I left my crystal bracelet on the bathroom sink counter. One of our cats is into shiny things. He tossed the bracelet down the drain. Hubby was not a happy camper that night. He did manage to get the bracelet out of the pipe before it went into the city sewer, though.

O_O Oh, my goodness, @sallypup ! Glad hubby was able to get it out, even if he wasn't really happy about it.
