I just read that Natalie Cole daughter of Nat King Cole has died at the age of 65. She was an R&B singer and songwriter. She had been battling health issues for the last few years. Over the last three months or so she was forced to cancel a number of concert performances because of ill health. In her lifetime she had won 9 Grammy Awards and was know Worldwide. She became a spokesperson for the University Kidney Research Organization, a group dedicated to eradicating kidney disease. She appeared in June 2014 at the Apollo Theater’s 80th birthday celebration.

Her father was very well known its always a shame another beautiful voice gone. Its a good thing that we still have people who like to sing some of the classic songs.

She was a great singer - her father was my late Dad's favourite musician, so I often heard Nat King Cole songs playing through my childhood

She had liver problems and had had a liver transplant years back. Sad that she is gone.
