Dribbling or Not?

It's early in the morning.
Time to start the coffee pot in the dim light of an under the cabinets bulb. (Who wants bright lights before their eyes are fully open?)
Will it, or won't it?
I fill the carafe with water. Carefully, slowly I fill the reservoir with water from the carafe.
Yes! It's going to be a good day! The carafe did not dribble all over the countertop.
Ten minutes later, the coffee is ready. Again, just as slowly and carefully I prepare to pour two cups of coffee.
Sadly, this time the carafe dribbles. Luckily, I was prepared. I set the mugs, so the dribble ended up in the second mug, then moved the first mug to collect the dribble from the second mug.
It's a perfect morning when no coffee dribbles.

You sound like you really enjoying your morning ritual
Remind me of my bf, coffee in the morning is a must or he won't feel completely ready for the day

Coffee is my morning wake up drink. A morning ritual. The only time I can guarantee alone time with my husband.

My niece gave us this coffee maker a few years ago. It has dribbled from the very first day. I find most carafes dribble if you try to pour too quickly, but the one just dribbles when it wants to. There is no formula, just a bit of luck.
