De-Cluttering My Notepad Files

Yesterday sounded like a good day to start de-cluttering my Notepad files. I did it for a while, but got tired and soon moved on to different tasks on my computer and in the kitchen. Among my Notepad files, I found many ideas that I had kept for further discussions here on Mylot. So, in the following days I will have plenty to write about just from those notes. But right now, I am still too lazy to start on this project. But soon, I hope. Do you keep an "idea" file on your computer?

I think its always wise to remove all unnecessary files in a computer, no i do not save ideas on file in my computer, when i have an idea, it just keeps on playing over and over in my head and i'm the one lazy when it comes to that., it's good you save yours now we have lots to talk about when you are no longer lazy

I find it better to keep track of my ideas on Notepad, if I don't I soon forget about them.

I can't say I would remember things if I just kept them in my head. @louievill

@marlina I do keep both a written and a Notepad list of ideas. Sometimes I am not at my computer when I think of an idea.

Yes, I keep a notebook to write things down with a pen as I think of something if I am not on my computer also. @HazySue

I think I do, and they are all saved in my Evernote. I have it synced in all my other devices, so I can access it pretty much whenever there is internet connection and I do not have to turn my computer on.

We don't use the sticky notes on our computer, but I use the notepad to keep tally of my daily earnings. I'm looking forward to reading some of your great new discussions that you've planned.

Thanks for the encouragement, I don't think they will be "great" discussions but I am trying to come up with things a little different.

I have an idea file and I have plenty of files in my computer that I should delete, but this also takes time.

@marlina I am deleting all video files that I have copied on DVDs, they take a lot of space.

I have done at times but normally use a Word document. In either case I would add them to a single file rather than create separate ones.

Some on my computer - most in actual notepads and on scraps of paper

I'm still a good old fashioned paper notebook and pencil girl. I've just cleared out those notebooks prior to 1914

I do keep notes for future postings and some other things in my word pad. Really a handy little feature. I do clean it out daily.
