It's Almost Finished!

This quilt has been a work in progress for several years. The pattern was discovered online, one day when I was bored and surfing the Internet for a new project. The center of the quilt was pieced. Even this took two attempts. My first fabric selection did not have the impact I was looking for. The first border was appliquéd (by hand) over the course of about two winters. Finally the quilt was assembled and later sandwiched. The quilting has been done in fits and bursts since last winter This quilt has been packed up and unpacked so often. It has travelled from coast to coast. Finally, by the end of the week it should be finished, complete with prairie points and my autograph on the back.

For how long are you doing one quilt ? It must be tedious .

This one has been a work in progress for several years. I have finished many much more quickly. This photo will show one that was started last January and finished in May.

That really is a long-term project. I think I might get sick of something that took that long.

I have finished quite a few other projects (quilts) since I cut my first piece for this one. I have had many distractions keeping me from finishing.

@Morleyhunt When I thought about it I realised I had a half-finished jumper that has been on the go for several years. Perhaps it's time to get it out and finish it.

I am envious of anyone that can quilt. Many of my friends are quilters. I prefer to do a project that doesn't take a long time to finish. Plus, the one quilt I did make wasn't perfect. I am a perfectionist and could see the many errors in the quilt. It was something I made for a friend. She loved it, or at least said she did.

I've always admired your handiwork and again you made a beautiful quilt. Hope things are settling down so you can relax and enjoy quilting/sewing

Biome of the running around has ended. I am making some time to sew and quilt. If for no other reason, to save my sanity. (What little I have left.??)

@Morleyhunt Oh, that's good. I need some new loudspeakers to work on. I'm almost done with the pair I'm working on now!
