Due to my Mom's forgetfullness and my liking for the movie, we watched Prancer twice this past Christmas.
There's one scene in which the girl feeds Prancer those funky Christmas cookies that are seen from the Dollar store to the grocery store. Fake glittery sugar and hard as mini rocks.
This morning as I shopped for groceries I spied packs of those cookies in the discount bin. Half off. Perfect for our Peter burro. Let's see if he accepts them or spits them into the snow. I also bought carrots as back up.

Of course its a Christmas movie, @kevin1877uk but its also about the loss of a Mother and the need to have faith in something and there's some childhood jokes. And the Dad and daughter relationship and poverty and holding on to a farm or maybe some day being forced to let go.

@tiarasoceanview He did! I presented a couple of cookie rocks to Peter. He grabbed them right away. He is gentle and tries to lip things from me instead of grabbing on with his teeth. I also gave him a bite of healthy carrot.

@rohvannyn I tossed a cookie at the neighbor horse this morning. She snapped it up, too.
