I Double Booked!

I realized just know that I accepted 2 invitations for a birthday party this coming weekend, and it just so happen that both are going to happen at the same time. They are also both an hour's drive away from our town, which makes it even more tricky. I know I should go to the one that I accepted first, but as usual, I am finding it difficult to turn down another friend. I can't believe I have been so busy and disorganized that I never realized it 2 weeks after their invitations came.

Would you be able to go to one for a little while and go to the other for an equal amount of time? I have done this in the past.

That is the plan, but it will depend greatly on what the weather will be the weekend. Hopefully we can get something figured out that will work for everyone.

Go both. Go to the 1st party and spend some time there and then explain to your friend that you have to leave to another party,,, I think your friend won't mind,,

I think you're right and that is best. I have to apologize for both of them for this. I do want to spend time with them both - it's a good reason to get out of town even for a few hours.

Oh no! Hopefully you could arrive early to one and then a little late to the other and in the end attend both.

That is our plan, but we will see if we are not going to be pressed for time. I should be more organized next time.
