What? I have arches now?

I'm used to having very flat feet with almost no arch. Then I started wearing Doc Marten sandals. My first pair didn't reshape my feet much but when that wore out and I bought my second pair, things changed. I hadn't noticed much difference at first but I've been wearing them for several months and I just noticed I have arches!
They are still shallow, but definitely much more normal than before. I knew those sandals were durable and comfortable, but I didn't have the faintest clue that they'd give my feet arches. That means I really don't ever want to wear any other sandal, because no other shoe has done that.
Not even the ones with "arch support!"
I'm glad I can still get them on eBay for much less than the list price!

I'd say so - my feet didn't hurt before, but I know they now give me better shock absorption.

When I was in my 20s a doctor made me acrylic arches to put in my shoes. I still use them. Back then another doctor told me I needed my veins in my legs scrapped. I never had that done. It didn't sound like a very enjoyable thing and the acrylic arches work well.
