In the Gray Area

I had a dream this morning where it was a battle of good vs bad, but the dream pointed out that while I was fighting against the bad, I live in a world where the lines I draw between the two matter not. I easily crossed over in the fight, which the adversary mentioned. I may do things that are good, but I'm very much just like the ones I fight against. To me the line is just a line, and in a choice or a moment, I will easily cross it to achieve my objectives. I'll always be in the gray area, because that's just the way of the world.

I've always been one to believe in things being black and white but this world has greyed a lot of things.

I was never black or white, good or evil, so I'm used to a mixed scheme. I don't mind crossing lines others wouldn't think to say, especially when the situation seems to fit the crossing.

Yes, but with one step in the other direction I am the evil. That's how gray the area is I'm in. But that's more realistic than claiming to be perfectly righteous.
