I love puzzles!
I can't remember what is the first puzzle I've been addicted to years ago (maybe, jigsaw).
Of all the puzzles I encountered so far, my all-time favorite is the Rubik's cube.
I have also a collection of Sudoku puzzle books. None of them have answers since i bought all of them 4 years ago haha.
I have also some pieces of Tangram puzzle in which I used to play before blind-folded.
What about you? What puzzle you've been hooked up before (as well presently)?

I like puzzles too the ones that involve a bit of thinking - like 10 crows were perched on a tree. The gunman shot two - how many remained.

I like jigsaw puzzles. I still build some nowadays, together with my children, as they like jigsaw puzzles as well. I recently just completed one 1000 pieces together with my son. It's the most number of pieces he has built, of course together with me. He usually plays with those 100-piece puzzles on his own.
I used to get addicted to sudoku for some time, not anymore now. I am not good at Rubik's cube at all.
I have never play Tangram puzzle, and I didn't know about it until recently. I read that it's invented in China, but as a Chinese, I have never play or heard about it at all which I think is quite strange.
I am planning to make the Tangram puzzle using felt and let my children play with it.

@trivia79 1000-piece is the most I did. My son has a few 100-piece puzzles and he always does it on his own.
I have played Rubik's cube when I was young, perhaps I am just not good in that kind of puzzle, not so interested too. I learned about Tangram puzzle before reading your discussion. So, you played with felt Tangram puzzle?
Yes, there are really a lot of things I don't know, and there are much more for me to learn.

Wow! That's nice! I haven't tried to complete a 100 nor 1000 pieces of jigsaw puzzles. Just 30 pieces I think haha

Have you tried playing with Rubik's cube?

So you did a quick research haha. It seems that there are lot of things you don't know in your nativity

I like jigsaw puzzles too. I have some jigsaw puzzles that I can put togehter, but I just haven't taken the time to do so. I also like word search puzzles, as I have books of those, and also I have soduko puzzzle books as well as crowsswords. I haven't started any of them yet, but I will in time. I just haven't taken the time to do so as of yet. I find being in here is much more fun that doing any old puzzle anyway.

@trivia79 At one time I had a subscripton, but when ti was up, I didn't renew, as I have enough, and it will take me a very long time to do them.
I just haven't taken the time to do any of them as I feel that my time can best be spent in here or the other sites I do. I do have a puzzle book in my car, so when I have to wait for my dogs to get groomed, I will post in here, and do my puzzle book.

OMG! I thought it was an aerobic cube. LOL. Now I know it is a Rubik cube. Wow, I tried many times to organize the colors together, but it took a month before I arranged it. lol. It's a good brain exercise! The last time I played this stuff was on high school days.

I love jigsaw puzzles, Adam, but I rarely have time to sit down with one anymore.
I don't like the Rubik's Cube at all! LOL! I finally got so frustrated
with the one some friends bought me for my birthday one year that I peeled the colored squares off and cheated! Then I threw the thing in the trash! LOL!
I consider solitaire to be a puzzle game, too. You are working with numbers and averages/chance. I like beating the different solitaire games!

@trivia79 I don't watch YouTube normally... I never even thought about watching it to see how to solve a Rubik's Cube... Probably because that first one, given to me by friends, was for my 18th birthday in 1981! LOL!
YouTube wasn't even a concept in anyone's mind in 1981!
LOL! I have solitaire on my smart phone. The app I paid for has 250 different solitaire games in it. I can play... and win (at least part of the time) 40 of those. I am still learning how some of them are played.
Four of them I have a 99% win rate for this app! (I LOVE solitaire!)

hahaha!
when i first tried to solve rubik's cube, it took me 3 days to solve it
. Then it greatly reduced to less than an hour when i watched a tutorial in Youtube
i don't know how to play solitaire. In fact, every card game...i don't know how to play hehe
i only know the memory game in cards in which i have to flip one card among the backfaced card and choose another card for possible match.

I'm also a big fan of puzzles but the Rubik's cube makes me crazy. lol I love doing any kind of jigsaw puzzle, Sudoku's, etc. I'm an expert at minesweeper, too. I'm not sure if that counts in the "puzzle" category but I feel that it should. lol

@trivia79 Hahaha! I typically get to the very end and have two squares left with no way of knowing which one is the bomb. I almost always guess wrong. lol
