Discovered this new (to me) word while browsing this morning. Kaizen is Japanese for improvement. It also refers to achieving success by taking small steps to meet your goals, as opposed to giant leaps of faith. I woke up wanting to hit the reset button on my life and this Kaizen concept helped me mentally regroup. Snatched me from the jaws of self pity and feeling overwhelmed very quickly by just reminding me of what Real Life 101 has already taught me.

Actually the meaning of Kaizen is continuous improvement. The improvement must be continuous to mean anything. e.g. today we strive to do things better than we did them yesterday. This has to always be a continuing process.
