First Snow of 2016

It snow today. The snow was very much a surprise because it wasn't in the forecast. Not that much snow fell to the ground but it was enough to look pretty outside, Usually we get the first snow fall sometime in November. I think New Jersey may be the last state in the US to get the first snowfall. I know their are some of you out there that never get get snow.
When was the first snow fall of this season for you?
Is there snow on the ground where you live?

If you like extremely dry climate you'll love it @whiteream but boy does that static drive us nuts around here. I've been shocked by my car door so often I dread having to do so.

@rebelann by car doors, I guess it is bad there. But, I would rather get a little shock than deal with the cold.

@Marcyaz you got your wish it will be here in a couple of day. I promise when it has all finished falling 8-12 inch is what they are calling for. I will take a picture and post it fore you.

Lucky you, I like the snow it's nice to look at. I just don't like the cold that comes along with it.

Abby, yes I do live in New Jersey. I think you told me you live here before. I bet you like it more in TN than you did in NJ

I have seen it snow here on Halloween! However, that is very rare. Our snow usually comes in January and February. We got a bit of snow the day after Christmas, but it didn't even stick to the ground. Day before yesterday, Saturday, we got a beautiful snow! I loved watching the big, fluffy flakes as they floated down from the sky! We got enough snow to cover the ground, but it was gone by the next day.

@sgbrown When my son was little he talked me into going out in the snow in the middle of the night. He loved to play in it. He is the only person who could get me out init if I didn't have to go.

I like to watch it and think it's beautiful until I have to go out init that's when my feeling change. I don't like cold weather.

@whiteream That's me too! I love to watch it snow, but I hate getting out in the cold weather. I like to play in the snow, maybe one time and then I am done with it!

Our first snow happened right after christmas. We got an inch of snow last night and right now it's only 9 degrees out, brr. I hate the cold that comes with it also.

It has been cold but this was the first snow. I am just so surprised it didn't happen sooner.

The first snow this winter was about 2 weeks ago @whiteream It snowed again last night and is still coming down a little. It sure does look pretty as long as I don't have to get out into it, lol.

We had about an inch of snow on Saturday night but it was all gone by Sunday afternoon. I will make a deal with you. We don't like snow here so you can have my share!

I don't like it either but we are going to get 8-12 inch over the week end. I really hope, we don't get what they are calling for. Or, if we do that is goes away quickly.
