Hello Lotters, Before that the doctor asked a lot regarding my feet and knee and the rate of pain I'm experiencing. Then I told my him my story about how i got my pain one day of not exercising, or jogging. He realizes that it was an after job effect and that's because my feet couldn't take much of my weight and the joint starts to feel the pressure. Finally, he calculated the Body Mass index and It was BWI by 30. Embarrassing though, even the people who knew me started noticing the reduction, Doctor doesn't approve. Well, I have all the time again. But this time I'm no longer focusing on buying another exercise equipment or jogging. as for exercise, even the website BMI calculator, I was strongly advised cycling and walking. And I need to loose at least 30 pounds to match my height. That's crazy I wonder if i should still do jogging if i ever lost this much weight. Hows your diet going? this is just the start and it's been ripping off my EARNINGS!

stationary bike would be good for you, if you cannot jog because of your aching foot. good luck, my friend.

@Letranknight2015 then I guess you have to work harder to have your weight cut down into acceptable limits in proportion to your height.

Ripping off your earnings . Well, we know you've been working on it - the doctor only saw what it is at this point, at this particular time. I am thinking the doctor may be thinking of a lower impact exercise so it's not so painful on your feet and knees (thus the cycling or walking). I am still on my diet of lots of rice, cookies, and leftover holiday chocolates

I am starting to burn all the calories in my flabby body. I need to keep fit. I don't blame the previous celebrations last Christmas season and New Year. It is a high time to be in shape again.

walking should be the first exercise, jogging will put strain on your knees. or a combination of walk-run-walk. you can later improve or enhance or alter walking with jogging.

That's what i used to do, but never running, just jogging-walking-jogging so on and so fort. it only started hurting when my feet pressed on the ground and i didn't exercise. even today my knee still hurts. i hope the doctor would provide medication for it.

@Letranknight2015 the pain on the feet is probably because of the weigh given when you stand up. For knee pain you can take a pain medicine or pain reliever in the form of ointment or cream. I used ayurveda healing oil for pains all over mybody. I have the same dilemma now. needing to lose weight because I can feel the pain in my feet sometimes I have pain in knee also. I cannot walk everyday, I try to do jumping jack or jumping rope. But for you you can try jumping jack but not jumping rope, it has more knee impact.

I had always been overweight since childhood but I am surprised when I got my BMI, and it says that it's under the normal range. It is at the upper range though. I need to be careful with the food I eat because I might go back to being overweight once again.

the secret to that actually was lessening the fook intake and chew the food constantly with out any distraction (e.g. tv)

@brokenbee I actually lessened it to half of the one cup, or lower, from my experience it felt better full than eating way too many.

@Letranknight2015 hmmmm yes, and I lessened my rice intake. There was a time I had to measure my rice. One cup per meal and that's it. Unlike before when I could eat around four servings or more. Haha

@Letranknight2015 best of luck to you. I just ate ice cream and pizza today. Two of my bigger weaknesses.

I would probably say NO to those two for the moment. not to mention ice cream will register as mere sugar once inside your body, while pizza has tones and tones of calories.

I didn't know being overweight can cause the pain on the feet. Since your feet is painful now, perhaps cycling or walking is better for you. I wonder if swimming is good for you too, but I am not sure if it's too cold over there. Hope your feet will feel better soon. I am now always in the underweight category, perhaps I have not exercise enough. I eat moderately, but try to cut down on oil, sugar and salt intake. Though I am not vegetarian, I eat more veggie most of the time. My husband is the opposite, he's always overweight. He told me, besides exercising, he loses weight easier if he skips dinner or eats very light dinner. Lately, as I am pregnant and I always need to eat at night, so he eats together with me as well, and he has gained lots of weight now. So, it's time for him to exercise more and have healthier or no dinner.

I don't swim @kaka135 but even worse with my knee problem i could drown! he shouldn't skip dinner if he wants to avoid ulcer. wow you have a baby on the way, better exercise too. well, it happened to me and how foolish i was to extend myself to the point of getting hurt.

I recently lost over 30 pounds and I'm happy about that. I've never had much problem with my knees though. Extra weight can put pressure on your knees and joints.

Well, I took my 12 year-old to the doctor this week for a wellness check and they said she was underweight. I said'"Look at me, I haven't gained weight in 35 years". They gave her flintstone's gummy bears. Waste of money.

Hello @quarternoes it was vitamins and obsession of hotdogs back in the day that led me to gain weight. well, good for you to be thin, sometimes it's hard to be overweight.
