Earth, air, water and fire
are the elements that we most require,
Without the universe no man can be;
Its spiritual well-being is of complexity.
Embedded firmly in the human psyche
the trees and hedges and fences spikey,
all attribute to a basic design;
rivers and rocks are the earth's bloodline.
Soil represents the earths landscape
where life begins make no mistake,
Magically transformed by blooming seeds
a garden of Eden for all to perceive.
In various proportions the earth binds them all
and most apparent as I watch the rain fall;
Earth, air, water and fire
the ultimate universal life supplier!
Poem by LANY OLIVIER
"In Greek mythology, Chaos or Khaos is the primeval state of existence from which the first gods appeared. In other words, the dark void of space. It is made from a mixture of what the Ancient Greeks considered the four elements: earth, air, water and fire."
