Finally i decided to write about that

I think i haven't seen nor met personally any LGBT member. I have questioned myself several times about my attitude to these people and i always got confused. I decided to find reasons of such homophoby in my country. The reasons turned to be historical and social mainly. That is what i found: 1. Beginning with tzar-Russia, our rulers haven't treated well to gays and punish them. Though, after the Revolution, rulers followed progressive approach to homosexuality by not making it criminal. Joseph Stalin and his colleagues drafted a new law penalizing homosexuals, whom they portrayed as spies and scoundrels. Such an approach existed almost until 1990-s. Modern rulers continue negative care of LGBT. 2. During short, but rich history of the USSR every 70th person officially was sentenced to prison custody or labour camp. Almost every family had a relative or a friend who was a prisoner. Prison is separated society that consists only of same-male persons. Up to 20 male prisoners living without sex in one room cause fear to be a sexual partner by force. Well, something like "the Sisters" from the film "Shawshenk Redemption". This is the reason why these sexual relationships don't seem to be free and pleasant. On the contrary, it is humiliating. 3. The Russian Orthodox Church, that is supported by the President and the people, is a major driver of anti-gay public opinion. The head of the Russian Orthodox Church, Patriarch Kirill I, said in July that gay marriage is a "very dangerous apocalyptic symptom." And church leaders regularly link homosexuality with pedophilia. By the way - "go forth and multiply" (Gen. 1:1-31)! As you see, we have some significant and traditional reasons not to respect gays. How can a person promote his new idea and go against the system? The problem is that you can be publically mocked at and even beaten if you just hold your same-sex partner's hand and walk. Guys did social experiment and walked together for 1 hour in Moscow. Youtube video of what happened with them is here: youtube.com/watch?v=wgm3lb9JUU0 I tend to be loyal to any member of LGBT, but i still don't like their public meetings that demand rights equality, because their style of clothes and behaviour there is mainly aggressive and disguisting. I think if a person worked 10 -12 hours a day, as the majority of population here does, they wouldn't have time to change traditional human sexual habits. Take care.

"I tend to be loyal to any member of LGBT," ?!?!?!?!?!? You have a avatar saying stop gays-- you say working more will make them change??? Really? Working more will make them change? I wrote a long reply to the many mistakes you made here and I decided instead to post it for discussion under my name. Please read and feel free to respond.

@TypicalRussian perhaps they were looking at the photo, which isn't your opinion so much as it is an illustration of a point, and not necc your opinion. I think anyways

@TypicalRussian i'm thinking as i read this that the language barrier is making it a little difficult to understand your opinion. maybe it's me and the fact that i am really tired.

How do you feel about Tatu being the most internationally successful Russian musical act? They pandered to a lesbian image I believe both of them are straight and married to men now but they got their fame from their Lesbian themed music image.

Hello friend. I do agree with you on public displays such as parades being over the top, but that applies to all parades, that is my thoughts on it. I do not think if people work 80 or more hours a week it will change their sexuality. It is not good to live in oppressive society. It is good to have freedom in all areas, just not bother anyone else.
