Affirmation

There are times that we may not be having a good day at work. But it sure helps a lot if you have a good relationship with your co-workers. Yesterday, a co-worker asked my help in putting together binders for the managers’ meeting the following day. She was so shy, and I said absolutely. If she can give me a few minutes while I finish up my report then I will be glad to help her. After that, I did not know that she mentioned my name to the directors and managers who commended the binders. I also received an email for a job well done. I did not expect that, and I do not expect that she will even mention me – she did most of the work herself and I just helped a little. But I do admit that it made me feel good.

Affirmation in the work place is always a good feeling. Everyone needs to feel like their co-workers and bosses think they are doing a good job and are appreciated. That was very kind of her to mention you.

That's how it is with people - to give credit to people who helped along the way of doing things . And being a Filipino , that's one trait we most have - helpful , right ?
