Be Content

“People tend to be generous when sharing their nonsense, fear, and ignorance. And while they seem quite eager to feed you their negativity, please remember that sometimes the diet we need to be on is a spiritual and emotional one. Be cautious with what you feed your mind and soul. Fuel yourself with positivity and let that fuel propel you into positive action.” - Steve Maraboli My motto for the year is "Be Content" many months ago I read a blog by an Irishman who sat along side the waters edge and decided to just 'Be'. @xFiacre Since reading that statement of just "being" I decided that sometimes, regardless of what we are about, or where we are traveling, or how are dreams fall apart or come together, its a good place when we find its okay to just "Be content" Many of my virtual friend on myLot had the ups-and-downs of life and each one with a cross to bear, but in that bearing of the burdens, find a balance of where you can just BE . . . . be content in you! Happy Wednesday . . . “Poor is the man whom is not content with what he has.” - Rita Gonzalez

This is what I try to be, content of what I have and forget about problems, but some days I really feel down.

@Inlemay We put our happy mask on and show our family that everything is fine and we are ready for them.

People who seek happiness by striving for bigger, better, more are never going to be happy. No matter what you've got there is always going to be bigger, better, more out there. Happiness isn't getting what you want. It's wanting what you've got!!

Great advice. It seems to be man's nature to be always wanting more, or different, when really we should be pleased with what we have.

Yes, and in that contentment if we get more, then that is a blessing

It is always better to feel contended rather than crave for more and more. There is no end to our desires and if one of our desires get fulfilled, another takes its place. Whatever, I have in my life, I feel contented with it.

Understable. The negativity can be disruptive but we have to find a way to overcome it. Content can work but it shouldn't be used in all areas of our lives.

This is really good. If only people will be contented then life will not be complicated.

Sometimes being around people who are able to JUST BE, can make you aware of it and it helps with the trying to get there.

Hi Lany, good stuff, but my brain is clearly still in bed as i can't think of a suitable response. But hey...that's okay, I am happy to just be....a little slow today

Contentment is not so intense an emotion as happiness - but it is much more elusive!
