Back when I lived in Oklahoma we camped all over the State of Oklahoma.
We went to Lake Thunderbird more than once with our dog.
We always had a good time in our travel trailor and I had to learn to give the signs for backing into the spots, I became very good at it.
Oklahoma has many great lakes to camp at.
We met a lot of nice people there also and always had a great time and everyone we met thought our dog was really nice and well behaved.
One time when I went for a swim and Rommie (dog) went with me he kept swimming in a circle around me, what I didn't know was he was protecting me.
If you ever have a chance to camp at Lake Thunderbird they have plenty of spaces and it is a wonderful place to camp and fish.
I even went to a wedding there at one of their pavillions. That was a lot of fun.

A good dog was Rommie.
It sounds like a really nice place that Lake.
I have passed through Oklahoma and always thought it a lovely state and often wanted to visit.

@TiarasOceanView They also have a casino nearby that is real nice, I was there once to see what it looked like inside, it was really nice. We talked with some of the Native Americans there as we saw a poster about their Pow Wow and asked about it they were so nice to us especially when my husband told them his tribe.

I would have loved to have shown you around and Lake Thunderbird is so huge and has so much there, fishing, camping, museum and all. Great place to go. We once went there at a pavilion for a wedding along the lake and it was so much fun.
