the endless pile of clothes

For a house of 5 people it seems that there is always and endless pile of clothes. I'm sure if you have a big family or several little kids the clothes go into the basket where they stay even after you clean them they most of the time don't find there way back to the right place they belong. The endless piles of clothes and when you finally have time to take the clothes from the basket to fold it you really tired and it's midnight. All you really want to do sleep but you know you won't sleep well because you'll be thinking about that basket you started working on but didn't finish and it'll haunt you like a ghost.
I'm not ashamed of this I know I'm a busy mom of three very young kids and rather spend time with them because I know one day they will all be in school and I can spend as much time as I want on fixing these endless piles of clothes or better yet make the kids do there own clothes.

yep, it's always running some times even when I'm sleeping. It'll get better one day.

our washer is always going as well but the clothes just keep coming. Small kids like I said they some times need more then one set of clothes for the day.

I only have one child. It still seems like laundry is never ending at our house. Haha. He's almost ten and does a lot of the laundry himself now. We're bad about waiting until we have 6-7 loads of clean laundry before we bother to put it away. Yes, I realize that means we both have way too many clothes. Haha.

I think it's okay to have way too much clothes then not enough. Then you have to run out and buy more clothes. Yeah even with one kid it can be a lot. I remember when it as just my daughter for those first 18 months of her life it was hard keeping up with her clothes. I had to wash a set nearly every day.

My problem too, we were only too at the house, my husband and I, but we are still experiencing pile of clothes. I could not wash the laundry cause of my work at night shift. I need to sleep and we visit our baby at her sister's who's taking good care of him. I could not find to do that. Most of the time, my husband did or I would send it to my mom's house and ask my sister-in-law to do the laundry with pay.
Last option is do bring it a the laundry shop.

Good thing I'm home all day with the kids so I can wash the clothes around them but it still takes a while to do it. My husband would wash the clothes but he doesn't it wrong every time and I like washing the clothes. He does know how to wash clothes but it irritates me the way he does it.

I normally wait till they are all in bed to do wash clothes. the matchine is in the basement. I try to get some done in the day time around them need and wanting mommy to play with them. Most of the day nothing get's done because I'm doing things with my monkey's and babysitting. entertain little ones first then clean what every it is.

@JudyEv Oh yes, I have to go all the way down stairs. There are some town house that have it on the top level with all the bedrooms but ours was made in the 80's so all of them where put in the basement. My parent's town house is the same way.It drives me nuts.

@ShyBear88 For years many Australian homes were only one storey so it wasn't so hard to put on a load of washing while keeping an eye on the kids. This changes if you have to go up and down stairs.

yes it is. Thus the reason I can't wait till all three are big enough to do it themselves.

@SIMPLYD nope. They are sticking to just putting the dishes in the sink for mommy or daddy to wash at the end of the day. But they will try to cut there own food if you give them a kid knife witch we don't have.

yep! right now the older two can put there clothes in the dirty basket, put toy's up, and put there dishes in the sink and if they spill food or drink they know for the most part how to clean it up depending on what it is. Slow to start but by middle school I think they will all know how to wash there clothes, fold them, pick up there rooms, and clean dishes all but very sharp knives.

My kids are like that cause my wife spoiled them out of too much love but now they are a little bit bigger, we are slowly teaching them that they have responsibilities.

When my kids get old enough they will have to help out more. Right now they pick up toys, put there dishes in the sink, and put cothes in the dirty basket.

Now there's only my husband and I at home, but the laundry gets out of hand if I miss a single day washing clothes! We're either very clean or very dirty.
