Have You Reminisced Lately?

I was reading one of the childhood memory posts by Janet/ @Auntylou a few minutes ago and that reminded me of a magazine I happened to see at my dentist a few days ago. It's called Reminisce. It looks like a product of Reader's Digest. People send in their memories of growing up. I was interested at first in checking it out to see what they might pay for those memories, but once I realized it's by Reader's Digest I realized they may not pay much at all. I've considered sending certain things to their main magazine, but they pay very little and you have to give up all rights. Now granted, they would be our own memories and it should be easy, if desired, to write the same memory in a different way if needed one day. I've not checked it out further just yet. Has anyone out there ever heard of this magazine? They also have a website and books centering around specific themes. One of them related to having pets while growing up. It looks like you can get a free magazine, but you have to provide your payment info so that if you forget to cancel future shipments they can bill you for a full year. This link does show a bit about it. I've included the link to the website in general too:http://www.reminisce.com/

We didn't read the fine print well enough once and continued getting a magazine much longer than we intended. It was very difficult to cancel it too even when we did realise what was happening.

I've forgotten to cancel other types of memberships that you can get for one month, or six months free and then cancel them. It's easier to bow out and not get them in the first place. You can go to reminisce dot com and just look at their site.

If you ever see it again, it's filled with other people's memories which spark ones of our own, I'd think. Similar to what our memory challenge here does.

Same here. I later found the website itself which you can look at for free without getting one free magazine. If I could I'd provide that one instead, but the option isn't there when editing.

I never heard of it either before I went to the dentist that day. They've had the magazines out for many years and eventually put out a few books on specific topics too.
