Are you fond of dips for your foods ? What are they ?
I am and my favorite dip for my fried meat and fish is sweet and spicy vinegar or soy sauce with drops of lemon and chopped Thai Chili .
For my chips , I like the cheesy one with some greens in it which can be bought in supermarkets.
For my French Fries , I like mayonnaise with some hot sauce and ketchup .
For my boiled veggies , I like fish sauce with lemon drops and chopped chili .
I am getting hungry with this topic of mine , specially that I have ordered Pork in Tamarind ( Sinigang na Baboy ) for lunch in a little while.
There you go , what are yours ?

The picture you have uploaded makes me feel hungry.
You have long list of your favourite dips and you prefer different dips with different dishes.
I prefer either mayonnaise or melted cheese (we call it cheese spread) with chips. At the most I will take tomato sauce with boiled eggs. Here, we also prepare mint and coriander sauce (which is called 'chutney' here) and that could go with any fried dish or chips etc.

@SIMPLYD It is basically tomato ketchup a kind of table sauce. It is a sweet and tangy sauce, typically made from tomatoes, a sweetener and vinegar. You could say it is similar to salsa dip.
As regards mint chutney, it is basically salty (black salt is added in it along with little green chilly and onions) and spices, cannot say if it tastes like sour cream.

Tomato sauce with boiled eggs . How do you do that please ? I think it's similar to the salsa dip . I like that one too for my chips.
For that chutney , how does it taste ? Sour and a bit salty just like a sour cream tastes?
I really love foods with dips .

I have not tried any of the dips you like. For fish and French Fries I like tarter sauce. I have eaten a variety of potato chip dips like clam dip, onion dip, cheese dip, jalapeƱo dip, bacon dip and avocado dip.

@SIMPLYD These are dips I bought at the supermarket. Here in the US most come in a plastic container that is only about one inch (2.5 cm) high and about three inches (7.6 cm) wide so we can dip the potato chips right in the dip without having to take the dip out and put it in a bowl.

I guess, you are not into dipping your foods that's why , my friend .
Yes, vinegar can really be a versatile dip . It can be a dip for all fried foods . I would add a little sugar , salt and chopped Thai chili and it can make a bland fried food so tasty already .

@SIMPLYD We also use thick broad-bean sauce as dip now and then. However here, there are some people who like dipping chopped chili or the powder of Chinese prickly ash .

I quite like some dips though Salsa just tastes bland - I often just use them as sauces on meals too

I make a few dips using Greek yogurt. I love the one with garlic, oilve oil and cucumbers. I also like another one with Greek yogurt, mint, paprica and lemon juice.
For dumplings/momos I like a dip made with dried red chillies ground in vinegar with cocum and oilve oil.
Now you make me feel real hungry.

But you know these dips can actually make us eat more because they make the foods delicious . Though if they are veggies , they won't add up kilos , provided that there is no mayo on the dip though .
