Hi Mylot Friends,
Indian Govt is offering sim cards for the foreign tourists entering India with e- Tourist visa, The proposal is implementing by tourism department this is approved by the Indian Govt. The tourists with e- Tourist visa will obtain a free sim card, map of major tourist places in India and CD gift kit.

This is a very good idea. Actually before I went to have a travel to Thailand, I also learned that I could get a free sim card when I passed the custom. But the fact is I saw nothing. Perhaps I arrived there after midnight and therefore nothing left. In this aspect Singapore does well. I can find a map easily from the hotel and they provide it for free. Even if in Moscow they can offer you a map for free. Sometimes it is really useful.
