What Does Commitment Mean To You?

A commitment is a definite purpose backed by a burning desire for fulfillment. When I think about commitment, I think of persistence, stamina, determination, and an ability and willingness to stick to the task at hand. Commitment is a high priority item and has to stay that way until whatever you have committed yourself to do, is achieved. If you are committed, you are dedicated to a concept, policy or project – whatever it is – and you have pledged to endure whatever it takes to complete it.

Sometimes commitments are not "backed by a burning desire for fulfillment," but just by the fact that you gave your word.
