the year that is testing my sanity

So.
*cries*
{possibly with laughter}
My body and my piggy bank both appear to be attempting to kill me. Or, at the very least, cripple me. Firstly, I've been ill more times this winter {predominantly since the beginning of the year} than I've been ill in the last few years. This does give me slight cause for concern because healthiness has always been something I have - amazingly, some might say - not had to concern myself with too much.
Secondly, Husband's car developed two punctures, on tyres that were both less than eighteen months old. Neither could be repaired, so both had to be replaced.
*waves goodbye to £200*
And then, horror of horrors, our trusty twelve year old fridge-freezer died. Goodbye un-frozen fish. Goodbye unchilled-yoghurt. Goodbye un-frozen vegetables. Hello MiL, please may we borrow your freezer for all the posh frozen meat we received for Christmas? I suspect my poorlyness over the weekend came from either some de-chilled cottage cheese or some ham, neither of which Husband ate, which may account for him not getting ill.
We have no way of keeping anything chilled or frozen till {as it currently stands, but knowing our luck we'll get a phone call today to say otherwise} Wednesday. Then we shall become the owners of a sexy black shiny fridge-freezer.
*waves goodbye to £300*
I have been informed that I am not to clutter it up with magnets. It is possible that if I add just one a day, he won't even notice.
*smile*

That's a good point ... He probably is more observant than I give him credit for!

No balcony, but a back garden. That reminds me of being a student and all the milk which used to hang out of student windows!

I've noticed that all the problems seem to come at once. Sure does keep life interesting.
