I Signed the Contract

I'm ecstatic right now! I had a meeting with the editing couple who is going to do the second editions of my three published books - Scarred, Manifest Destiny, and Stowaway. The first one they are working with is Scarred.
There will be a slight design change to the front cover as the picture belongs to me, but the design doesn't. I have a couple things that need to be taken care of in the way of typos and such, but not many, as if there was Scarred would not have received the five five star reviews it has, along with the over the top review I received from a judge for the Self-Published Book Award contest a few years ago.
What it does mean is that Scarred will get a facelift and they will help market the book and there is every possibility it will get into local bookstores - the mom and pop type - not the major chains. That would be nice, but one step at a time.
Scarred has been available on Amazon and Barnes and Noble since October 2012 and hasn't done much in the way of sales because I'm just not a marketer. Now there will be help and I'm over the moon happy about that right now.
So the contract is signed and I'm ecstatic!

The second edition will only be local when it comes out on shelves, but it will still be available on Amazon and Barnes and Noble's sites. It's also available now, and chances are you won't tell the difference between the first and second editions. Unless you're an English teacher.

Scarred is available on both Nook and Kindle, Manifest Destiny and Stowaway are available on Kindle. When the second editions come out they will all be available on both. Price for eBook is $3.99 US. I'm not sure what the eBook rate is on the foreign market, but it is available internationally as well.

Thank you. I've waited a long time to make this happen. With everything happening all at once starting in November when my computer crashed, I haven't been able to do anything. Now that I will have the new tower next week, I can also move forward with getting my books into a second edition with better covers on all of them.

I have been listening to more books than i have been reading lately. That way i can multitask and get some quilting and knitting done at the same time.
