Give me a potato

Thought when you touched fists with someone you were giving them a "pound" or "fist bump". This morning an acquaintance offered me his fist and said "give me a potato". Huh? Did I miss something? Again - ?

That's a new one on me. I never heard anyone say give me a potato. LOL. Sounds funny. A fist bump is just a fist bump. Nothing more.
