Update on the Mini Trampoline

So, my baby is home from university for the week. So happy to see her and have her home. I love asking her questions about her courses. I learn so much. So I asked her why she was in so much pain after using the mini trampoline. She was using it in her placement class (grade 7s - she wants to be a gym teacher) and they were jumping on the tramp, then off onto mats. She feels the impact of jumping OFF the tramp is what caused her pain. So, since they are not too expensive I will probably buy one and give it a go.

I would like to be able to get one that has a handlebar to hold onto for better balance.

I think they do exist, and are probably more expensive... and harder to find. But I'm pretty sure I've seen them used somewhere on television.

@GardenGerty Not only they exist, they are available on Amazon, many for less than 50 dollars.

She's fine. She is an athlete but hasn't been participating in sports while at university because of the workload. She said she would be next year.

@rakski I gave my daughters an opportunity to try a different sport every year. My oldest daughter hooked onto Tae Kwon Do but also liked soccer (though she had tried gymnastics and basketball and Sparks - beginning level of Girl Guides). She played basketball in grade school and rugby in high school. My younger daughter tried gymnastics, 5-pin bowling, ball hockey and then soccer. She is still playing soccer as it is her passion and she's very good at it. But at school she also played flag football, basketball, volleyball, soccer, and even goalie in ice hockey (they needed a goalie so she stepped in having never played ice hockey ever). And she played ultimate frizbee with the church youth team... and ran a couple of marathons. She loves sports and is amazingly good at everything she does. But it's costly. Both my girls won Female Athlete of the Year when they graduated grade 8. Then my younger daughter won a couple of awards in high school. The older one won MVP for rugby. There is also some grade school volleyball in there too, one of their lesser liked sports.

@patgalca that is great. I am hoping my daughter would be interested in sports also.

I have heard both good and bad news about these but I think it depends on the user a lot.

Do you mean that your daughter tried to jump off the trampoline at home without the mats? It is very possible that this is what causes the pain.

Sorry your daughter got hurt but glad it didn't turn out to be the trampoline that caused it. Hope you'll keep us posted on your mini tramp when you get it

That's good in a way - only in that you won't need to be jumping off the trampoline.

They do look like fun but not if you were to fall the wrong way.
