Laptop Problems and Woes Will Soon End

Over the past several days I've done very little interacting. Not that I didn't try, but because my laptop made things difficult for me. Well the laptop's days are numbered. Four to be exact.
In four days I get my new tower. I have it picked out. I've checked the price on it, and I will check it again. When I did so a few days ago it was at almost half what I saw it for right after Christmas. So I'm guessing this is a tax refund sale. Just as long as the price is still within my reach on Wednesday, I'll be happy. I also need to get the latest Microsoft Office, which I understand is 13.
So all my wait/kill boxes will be history. The shockwave flash plugin issue I have will also be history. Taking five minutes to go from one page to another and waiting five minutes for a comment to load will also be history. I should also see me writing as I hit each letter on the keyboard instead of waiting until it decides to show what I've written, and then see all the typos in it, causing even further delays.
I will also be able to open more than one window at a time. Now that will be something. So the ability to get my notifications done faster will be a joy I'm looking forward to.
The tower isn't the only thing happening next week. I'm also getting my new dentures on Tuesday. So my time will be limited next week on myLot, but I will be here as much as I'm able.

@Marcyaz Not all the new ones have Windows 10. I've seen many that have Windows 8.1 on them and the store offers free upgrade to 10. I hope it won't be a huge adjustment. I've also got to get Microsoft Office 13 and that could be an adjustment too.

@mommaj I'm on Medicaid and the closest dentist that accepts Medicaid for dentures is in Milwaukee - a two hour drive from Green Bay. I got all my other dental work done at the college, the only place with a dental clinic that takes Medicaid. I'll be on every day, but I don't know how long I'll be on with everything going on.

You should. I don't know how long I'll be gone on Tuesday with my dentures, that's a two hour trip there and back, and who knows how long the dentist will be. I'm guessing at 5 hours minimum. Wednesday I'm getting the computer, so that means getting it and getting it set up and everything working on it. I also have church Wednesday night, so limited time again. But I assure you, I will make certain you haven't gotten into the glitter again.

Uh OHHH! Hon? Your new tower is going to run Win10, right? Were you aware that Win10 doesn't run Microsoft Office or Shockwave Flash? MS Office crashes constantly on Win10. Win10 won't even accept Shockwave Flash player. You can't load it.
Even the pre-set up Win10 updates my pc downloaded before I shut the automatic updater off hasn't let me upgrade my Shockwave Flash player for two months now. My flash player still runs, but I am constantly getting the pop-up telling me my system is going unstable because Shockwave needs to update!
I don't use MS Office, so never thought about that when you said you were getting a new tower!
You might submit a discussion asking people who do use it what they have had to do, since it is not compatible with Win10!
Sorry, Valerie, I can be a bit slow on the uptake!

It would be great if it was better. However, $259 for a brand new 1T 8GB tower is a very good price. I just hop it's still that when I check on the current price. It also has Windows 10 - Dell Insperion is the one I'm looking at.

I really need a desktop. I don't like laptops, and I need it for my writing. I don't need anything more than a tower.

My laptop also encountered problems but I finally had fixed it when I restored it. But I lost some of my files that I haven't backed up. It's okay. As long as it's working properly now.
