I was accessing the much talked about Yahoo homepage which really contains quite a lot of useful and interesting articles and I just could not understand how such a wonderful website could be so turbulent in the boardroom which had seen off so many CEOs and I understand that they are laying off 15% of their workforce worldwide. I really like their website but their search engine is much left to be desired. Anyway, I just have to share this wonderful tip which will make baking soda fans proud. Basically, a composite of baking soda, water, castor oil, lemon or lemon juice or fragrant essential oil of lavender or other favorite fragrance of yours. If you have dandruff, add a little apple cider vinegar and you can kiss your flaky issues goodbye. What I like about this write up is that everything that is recommended are harmless, cheap and most of all, natural from harmful chemicals which you find off the shelves shampoos or bath soaps. Also, I like the humorous website hellogiggle which I really find it quite creative. Related reading:
I kissed shampoo goodbye last year. The last straw came in early 2015 when I shaved half my head and found that the skin underneath all that hair was gnarly. It was scaly, red, and there were small pieces of dead skin flaking off everywhere. After a mini-a

Apple cider vinegar and soda are both great products. For cleaning lots of things. Apple cider vinegar and honey is also a great thing to help the metabolism.

I have to agree with you since I made a search on Apple Cider Vinegar which turns out to be very popular with the Westerners who takes it like some kind of health supplement like honey to us in the Orient circles.

I'm a bit of a paranoia when I hear chemicals and nowadays I don't really take so well when I see people around me suffering from the effects or payback. I wonder if you've attended chemistry classes during your school days where we will get to experiment with different chemicals to test for reactions and what not and one of my many observations is that certain chemicals may be dormant when they are indoors or sitting in some conducive storage facility but could really be unimaginable when exposed to the open environment. Here's the thing about the chemicals that you mentioned, so you've applied them while you wash yourself indoors and nothing happens while you remain indoors. Now these chemicals have a lifespan, where it will remain on you despite the washing to carry out its task like keeping your dandruff under control, taking care of your hair and scalp. As you know our environment differs indoors and outdoors where the latter is much harsher with all that allergens and pollutants out there, now guess how those lively chemical residues on your scalp will react when you are expose them to the wild outdoors. So I can understand the reaction on the writer's scalp and how dandruff will return again. Also, there were some cases where my friends were loosing their hairs from using these off the shelf anti-dandruff shampoos, so it is quite scary when it comes to chemicals for me. It just doesn't sit well with me and if I have a choice I'd stay away from them as much and far as I possibly could.

@artemeis You are making me anxious! I tend to use baby products on my hair, which have few harsh chemicals

@Auntylou I am sorry if I've caused you much anxiety here but please know that I meant well. I think you know and understand what I'm saying. Another example would be those weight loss medication, I am sure you've heard how the subject could gain double the former weight when they stop taking those medicines or how some could actually have their liver damaged. Sometimes these things albeit may not be ingested into our bodies but we know too well that over time these things would somehow be absorbed into our bloodstreams and entire body system to carry out more damages. People says it could take time but in my mind, if I can prevent it with other choices then why should I risk it.

Besides, it is not as harmful as the chemicals we find in our off the shelf shampoos and conditioners. It is really a valuable savings here.

I've already tried it for a while and it is really great. You should give it a go and the feeling is much more pleasant than the commercial ones.
