So many BED options!

My boyfriend and I went bed browsing/shopping and boy are there so many options. I felt extremely overwhelmed. We are looking to replace his bed with another queen sized bed. Prior to shopping in stores we browsed the website, Macy's online and found good reviews for some average beds ranging from $500 to $700 on sale, originally $800 to $1,300. But once you get to the store - it is a total different story and experience because now you get to test out these beds! They have all kinds of beds displayed ranging from $300 up to literally like $5,000! Of course the more expensive, the more luxurious and comfortable the bed is too! I also concluded I do not like firm beds. We had a budget set for a bed, but now we fell in love with a different bed set so we have to save up or wait for a better sale since we don't necessarily need a bed immediately. I so far like the Sterns & Foster Plush Euro Pillowtop bed. Plus, it's your back and you spend most of your life sleeping, so it's important to pick a good bed right? And the warranty for this bed will be 10 years so overtime the breakdown of the bed won't be that bad.

I am a fan of the pillowtop bedding myself. I actually need a new mattress but have opted for a pillowtop cover for now. IT is very comfortable. Have you had the chance to lay on a double pillow top mattress? They are oh so cozy, you do not want to leave the bed at all. Also, are you buying just the mattresses or an entire bed set?

My parents have a 3" inch pillow top right now. I believe they purchased it from Costco. I have tried theres but for some reason I don't know why I don't like it. It's the memory foam I don't like. But now they have newer pillow tops and those I have yet to try. I don't know where to go to try them. Just looking for a mattress set, not an entire bed set (with frame, draws).

@infatuatedbby I liked the memory foam myself, but I know it is not for everyone. I hope you can find something that you can afford and like. I would look around at other sellers of the same style mattress and box spring, I think most of the "President's Day" sales end on the 21st so you have a few days yet.

I sure wish I could get a awesome bed. But I feel I got lucky with the bed I got and I will stick with it until I ever get enough money for another one.

Investing a good mattress is wise. It's where we rest and that's very important. A tough decision but being able lay down on a comfy mattress is well worth it.

Good luck in saving for that bed. The good ones are quite pricey.

You mean a mattress, not a bed structure, don't you?

It's a hard job trying to figure out what bed to get and what you want it to have.

We bought our bed and mattress at Ikea, we choose a good one, because it is important for our health. We had a 25 years warranty.

Wow! I did not know Ikea offered 25 years for a warranty! I shall check Ikea out as an option. Macy's had a 10 year warranty. Yes, bed is just important because we are spending most of our time sleeping on our bed so the price is a great investment for us, our bodies/health.

@infatuatedbby I hope that Ikea offers the same warranties in the United States. I am very happy with the bed and mattress we bought there.

You certainly need to be sure that whatever bed you buy it is going to be comfortable. A large part of your life will be spent sleeping and you need to be comfortable.

I've never been the one buying mattresses in my household but that may change. We've cheapo ones at $50 all the way to $1800.

I never shopped for mattresses in the past either. My dad would be the one lol so I never knew how expensive mattresses can go up to!
