My Handwriting

In this age of computers and texts, I still like to receive handwritten cards and letters. I also like writing things down, and that is why I never go anywhere without my planner. I like writing down reminders, meetings and appointments, budgets, and important stuff that I will forget like birthdays. Unfortunately, my handwriting leaves nothing to be desired.
My handwriting, whether in cursive or print, has always been chicken scratch. It doesn’t matter if I use really good quality and pricey pens, or lightweight cheap ones – it’s all the same. I envy those people who have really good handwriting. When I was still in high school, our teachers would check our notebooks for assignments (being a private school and all). And I always turn mine in with head bowed because I know that I will be asked once or twice about a certain word that they cannot decipher.

I do write a lot also, being a landlady I tend to write a lot. But when making lists I write sloppy, only when I need to have something look good I take time and be neat.

I mainly write. It's just takes less effort than printing.

There was a great deal of importance placed on neat hand-writing when I was at school. My hand-writing is atrocious now - really bad.
