Not a Great Day

As you know, my older son is staying with me while he heals from surgery. We've had our arguments, and there was the post called Abuse when things got really rough around here.
No he's not been abusive lately, which is a good thing, however, just his being here and his negative attitude has me feeling in a bad mood most of the time, and I don't want it to rub off in my writing, which it can easily do and I don't want to offend anyone with any sour remarks.
I've done everything I can today to pep myself up, and going to church tonight did put a smile on my face for a couple hours. So did going out to take care of some small shopping that needed doing with my younger son. He got me laughing for the first time today.
He told me that my friends were supposed to put some window washer fluid in the car. I told them they did, long time ago. He was going to take the car to the gas station to clean the windows. I couldn't stop laughing while I pointed out where the window washer nob was. He kept telling me to stop laughing as he cleaned the windows. I couldn't stop, it was just hilarious, and what I needed at the moment to get me out of a bad mood. He also allowed me to vent a bit.
So anyway, that's why I haven't been on much today. Hopefully I'll be on more tomorrow, though my younger son does have school, and it's just one class so I will be gone much of the afternoon as I take him to school and then do some grocery shopping afterwards.
I hope your day has been a good one and you have some great things you want to tell me to help lift my mood and feel good for you.
Thanks for reading.

I have "drainers" around me as well. Those who want to stay in a negative mood and bring me down with them. I tend to stay in my "little hole" as much as I can when they get particularly draining for me.
Let's see. I did some research and may have found a website that will help me earn more towards my saving goals of travel and vacation. I am happy about that and hope it does work out like I want it / hope it will.

I know them as emotional vampires...they drain you.
Shame we can't legally put a stake through their hearts

Sorry he's putting you into a bad mood. One thing I do when I remember is put on some Christian music that I enjoy, that will usually help lift my spirits and mood. Have you heard about the new mylot site yet? You have to follow a link there. If you check the top discussions you will see one by mylotbugs which will explain. I also provided one on a post I wrote yesterday. I don't remember whether I saw you talking about it already or not.
Hope tomorrow is a better day.

@just4him i listen to it in the car everywhere I go, but at home not as much right now. Mostly because my husband naps in the living room and i'm right around the corner. I could sleep through the music, if I don't sing along, but I don't think he likes the current stuff as much as I do. I especially like it when I wake in the night to use the potty and find myself singing a line or two from a current song.

@MarshaMusselman That's where I listen all the time, in the car. I too wake to songs going through my head and on my lips in the middle of the night on my way to the bathroom.
I don't listen often in the house.

@Jessicalynnt Sometimes I wish I could just take time off from life. Just get so alone the only thing I hear is silence.

It's good that your younger son has a different personality from your oldest. Glad that you both had some good time together. Prayers that your oldest heals and moves out so you won't have to deal with all the negativity on a daily basis. Have a blessed day.

The male members in my household have fleeting mood swings if they aren't well exercised, fed or rested. It's annoying but I've no choice but to help manage their moods by talking them through it sometimes.
