This is my herb class day today. This afternoon we will be traveling to Oklahoma to do some fun things including visit my dad. I need to get a lot done this morning, but instead I am going to sit down and shut my eyes for a half hour. I have been up for three hours already. I have a facial masque on. Boy was I tempted to go out to the trash with that white stuff smeared all over my face. I resisted, though. I do not do things for myself as often as I should, I am afraid.

Why is it we are so afraid to do things for ourselves. What do we have to feel guilty about? I know that same fear that someone will criticize me for doing what I want instead of walking past it and regretting it later. I've started giving in to those indulgences and I feel so good about it, especially when people compliment me on my sock monkey hat. That was my first indulgence and I don't regret it one little bit. So indulge, and stop being afraid to do something YOU want to do.

There are lots of places online to read about them. The neat thing about this group is we get to taste at least some of the foods that are made with them.

@GardenGerty yeah, reading is all good and fine, but I am a show me learner, rather than a read about it learner. oh I can absorb fact, but it's not something I would really be able to pull out and use later, mostly

I go through streaks of when I do things for myself but then I get side tracked and stop. I really need to give myself a facial as well. I need to see if the local Dollar General has any cheap ones. Glad you treated yourself.

@GardenGerty I think for us women, it is the mother in us that wants to protect and do everything for everybody else. We never think of ourselves and when we do, we feel guilty.
