Craziest Wedding Dresses....

Have you seen the two advertisements that keep popping up on my Mylot page?
One of them features a well endowed bride, standing beside her husband. Her breasts are exposed and nipples barely covered by the thin straining straps. The other shows an elderly man (father?) escorting a scantily clad bride wearing little more than a bikini bottom, a veil and he bouquet?
Having owned a bridal shop, I can honestly say, I did not dress those brides. I did my best to direct brides away from dresses that left little to the imagination.
The most memorable bride, that I did not dress, came in looking for a slinky gown....now she had a very nicely shaped body.....but really......that was sheer from the waist up with two tiny little lace appliqués to hide her nipples.
After twelve years of dressing brides, I decided it was time to close my doors. Some of what the women were looking for was not something I wanted to have my name attached.
So if you are thinking...what were they thinking? Some brides simply do. Ot think.

That 'endowed' bride must have done some work on those 'endowments'

Some women are blessed with much more than others.

@allknowing I had more brides with blast reductions than enhancements. One poor girl was a size 10 everywhere but the bust, where she was a generous size 16.

I've seen those pictures, gross is all that comes to mind. I was married in 1987 so my gown had a big long train, in fact, the entire dress seemed to be big in comparison to what is worn today. I had long sleeves and a sweetheart neckline-do they even sell dresses with that neckline today? Everything I see seems to be strapless, that gets tiring to see on every single bride.

In the last year there seems to be a trend towards a little more coverage in front....now the back is totally exposed. Go figure.

@Morleyhunt Yeah, go figure, yet the grooms always have the good sense to dress a little more appropriately.

What a tacky wedding dress. I can't even imagine.

In my twelve years of owning a bridal shop, I saw so many tacky dresses, not to mention the women who chose the most unflattering styles.

I'm sure you had your share of Bridezillas in your shop. Don't know why any bride would want to wear a dress that was so revealing..you're right (they don't think)

I wish those horrid photos would just go away! As far as your shop went, did you order those types of gowns? I can imagine how a bride, dressed as you explained, would look in a church! I would walk out the door, gift and all, if I had to see a bride dressed like that!

My policy for wedding gowns and prom dresses. If I would not let my daughter wear it...I will not sell it to your daughter. The girl who wanted the risqué wedding gown, was told...no I will not even try to get that for you. I don't want to be associated with that.

I really do wonder what they'll think when they look back on those photos years later.
