Drunk Driver Slammed our Place

Philippines
February 21, 2016 4:51pm CST
Hello Lotters My mom was supposed to leave for the province this morning, but I was surprised that she and her friend was still here making breakfast. She said some guy hit our place and knock out the pole damaged our tenant's roof almost all together. When I went outside I can't believe what I just saw. Glad that pole took the hit, or it would have went straight to the shop. I'm glad authorities already handled the situation and remove the vehicle. The mess were left there for the either staff or owners to see it.

@Letranknight2015 They will pay if you have their vehicle impounded, you will have to file a complaint first in the MMDA traffic to give them time to think it over and raise the money. Being poor and drunk is no excuse to ran from liabilities and responsibilities.

@louievill Im glad her friend knew the driver and the owners. Yeah, because if they won't raise some money to pay for it, then mom will pay for it, which is NOT fair for her.

What's worse is that the one responsible might not be able to pay for the damages as they are poor

Wow, that's one of those bizarre things you'd never think would happen to you (well, I know it wasn't "you", but your tenant). It's good it wasn't any worse and that no one was hurt!

Thank God no one got hurt and the police took care of things. There seems to be no end to this drunk driving behavior though casualty is on the rise every year.

Hello @Scindhia that's the advantage of having a near police station area, they respond quick and not that far away.
