My Whole World ...

This morning my husband and I went to Rex Rehab in Raleigh, NC. Since having a stroke, and getting a pacemaker put in his chest ... Skip, my husband ... has been recovering. Physical therapy is one of the things he has to do.
Thankfully ... he is doing physical therapy to help him work on his balance, and tight hamstrings (extra-tight in his left leg). Skip has had 2 strokes in the past two years. He's very fortunate he is doing as well as he is.
I'm so thankful for Skip ... and our two Pups ... they are my whole world. I lost my son, Tommy ... and he was my only child. I don't have any family left ... and we just have each other.
What things are you thankful for ... almost lost in your life? Mine are my whole world ... Skip and our 2 Pups.

Anne, I am so sorry for your loss. I've lost everyone in my family, my life I loved ... I have never lost my husband ... I can only imagine the pain, grief. I'm so glad your children are there for you. I pray I never lose my husband ... I wouldn't have anyone ... no one at all.

@GrannyGee Thankful that I had the Lord to keep me through my grief and although I miss him, I know he is in a better place.

I am so sorry you had to go through the loss of your son. I raised my late niece from the time she was a baby. I lost her to cancer. I am sure grateful to my husband and to all my family for being here for me. I am grateful for the little boy she left behind.
I am glad you and your husband have each other. I hope he continues to improve.

@GrannyGee That is how Bubblews helped me. I found it at a time when my brain could not focus on anything and it brought me back to life - so to speak. Now, I really appreciate my on line friends. And so many have lost a child. Not, a group any would want to be part of; but knowing that you and others have had to carry on after losing a child helps me somehow.

My friends are my own made family and like in most families dynamics change but I wouldn't trade a one of them!

@GrannyGee every day I say a morning prayer thanking the Lord that we three my hubby, me and our cat Sid are well and healthy. I thank the Lord for leading me through the day in my nighttime prayer. I am glad to hear that Skip is getting better. Glad you have your pups too. That picture shows so much love. Blessing to all of you.

Pip was my whole world, sort of. I had to put her down January 25. She was the best companion anyone could want. Here's a pic of her the day before I had to put her down. My children are also part of my world, but they have their own lives, even the two that live with me, so they really aren't a huge part of my life anymore. I know if something happened to them I would feel the loss in a significant way.
