Margaritas on a Monday? Yes, please! It's time to relive that one Spring Break I blocked out of my memory all those years ago! There's only one thing better than a margarita on National Margarita Day...two margaritas! Okay, here we go: one tequila, two tequila, three tequila, floor! How did you celebrate National Margarita Day today?

I did not know that it was Margarita Day, I like a good home made Margarita, plain or strawberry and frozen.

@moffittjc I know, Tequila is also popular here, I have three bottles of Tequila in my cellar. Margarita was my favorite cocktails when I visited the United States.

@LadyDuck Three bottles of tequila in your cellar? Sounds like I need to come visit you over in Switzerland!

I wouldn't expect you to know about margarita day, you live over in Switzerland! Tequila is very popular here, especially in the southern states, since it comes from Mexico!

What is with all these days of celebrating useless things? I mean ok no wait....I'd celebrate that lol but why does it really require a day? Are we just trying to make use of all the 365 days we have to celebrate like...anything and everything? ah just....let's go get a drink and discuss this!

I agree with you! I think we just make all this stuff up just so we have an excuse to celebrate or party every day. But I like the idea of going to get a drink and discuss it further!

I heard about this on Facebook, and when I was at work tonight. It seems like it is all over the states. Not sure if it is anywhere else. But, yeah sure! I'd drink me a margarita! Or maybe, 2, 3, 4..... LMAO!!!

I like what you said there..."I'd drink me a margarita! Or maybe, 2,3,4..." Sounds about right to me!

@sharon6345 I'm not a big tequila drinker (tequila makes me go wild and do crazy stuff), but I can handle tequila when it's in a margarita!

@danny1971 The quality of the tequila used in making a margarita makes a huge difference in the taste of the drink. I always make sure to use top-shelf tequila when ordering marks.

I did not hear about it until after I had already eaten. Darn. I think I will put an alert on my iPad for next year. Yum.

You can always have one after the fact! Better late than never, right? I don't think there's any kind of expiration date on when you have to stop celebrating Margarita Day!

@ElizabethWallace We have an amazing authentic Mexican restaurant about a mile away from where I live, and I used to go there at least once a week. I don't know why I stopped...maybe I was just looking for some more variety or something, but I need to start going back there! I miss their authentic food and of course...margaritas!

@moffittjc I eat Mexican food at least every other week. I cannot do so without a Margarita. So, bottoms up!

I didn't know about Margarita Day. One son loves margaritas or used to. I suppose he still does. Love the one, two, three bit. :)

I am curious as to how popular margaritas are in other countries of the world. They are very popular drinks here, due to our proximity to Mexico, where tequila is made.

@JudyEv Your Mexican restaurants are probably about as authentic as ours...which is to say probably not very authentic at all! LOL Although we do have a very good Mexican restaurant close by where I live that is very authentic, as it is owned and operated by a Mexican family! It is very popular, and the food is delicious!

@moffittjc I rarely drink in pubs or bars or even restaurants but everyone seems to know what a margarita is so I guess that says they're quite popular or they wouldn't be available. There are quite a few Mexican restaurants around too although I doubt they're very authentic.

You can make up for it this weekend or when you have your next day off from work!
