The weatherman just said that we are between 111% to 131% of normal right now at the six local basins we have here. (Keep the rain coming Mother Nature!) We have been in a drought for that last few years. Infact, as far back as I can remember.
So, how is your moisture level where you live? Is your area coming out of a drought this year too?

We have fires here where I live annually. Last year there was a real bad one. I just hate it so bad. I am hoping there won't be at least as many this summer.

@celticeagle Britain is very fortunate in such respects, also has no real earthquakes, tornadoes or other natural disasters. We are also quite fortunate to have considerable rain, which many countries would love to have, but of course being human we still constantly complain about it.

@Asylum ...Have to have something to complain about. I have all the natural disasters you mentioned all around me here. I am not amused either.

We have been a drought. Weather today as a little warm but cool. I sort of feel dry though.

Not that I am aware of. A few years ago there was the coal ash spill. The Dan River that flows into Virginia was compromised with coal ash. They said it didn't effect our area but I still didn't drink tap water for several months after.
Glad your area is starting to retain more moisture. When we are going into a drought, they usually advise us to limit our water usage.

We are just coming out of a drought ourselves and have little to spare. Would be nice if it worked like that and areas could just send it around where it is needed.
