Is there any difference between a disliker and blocker?

At this day, I had found my first blocker member in this site. In fact, I don’t mind about the fact that this person blocked me. I wouldn’t dare to ask why. I can still remember my first disliker in the old version and freaked out a bit. But then, the only difference that I could see is that you cannot give comments to their discussion once being blocked. In this sense, I would not also prefer to have disliker counters since some myLotters would think differently. I wondered why some myLotters would have the idea of blocking their own members. It seems that they are afraid of something or avoiding some constructive criticisms pertaining to their discussions. For this woman who had blocked me, I wouldn’t dare to like your post. I prefer to give my own opinions and ideas than liking your posts.

@Ladypeace It is fine my friend. I had just vent out a bit of some frustrating things in this post today.

I found a blocker of mine too - but I wish if we were blocked or we blocked someone (which I have not) - then why do we get to still see their discussions. Gosh.

@infatuatedbby That's why I cannot phantom the blocking part. I thought it was a error in the system. Then I realized that it wasn't. What a waste of time reading her post.

I dont remember Mylot having visible dislikes. I do remember Bubblews having them though. When it comes to blocking people, I had blocked some people but those are people who I consider as enemies and people who ruins my discussions but I haven't blocked someone in the last 3 years until I saw this person who floods discussions with "Nice post" over and over again.
I dont mind criticisms, I block people because they were the following:
1.Cyber bullies that cant get banned because they do things the subtle way
2.Generic copy paste comment flooder
3.Debbie downers
4. non sense comment count flooder

@dawnald they were not visible in our profile though, it is not something that will be a permanent scar on your profile just like the dislike button of Bubblews.

@Shavkat There is a person here who harassed me with subtle personal attacks for 5 years. Blocking that person saved me from stress

@CaptAlbertWhisker It is nice to know about that. I can't remember that I had done that you mentioned to anyone. Thank you for the information.

so, how did you know this woman blocked you? You cannot like and comment on her discussions? could it be because you touched some sensitive ideas on her posts?

@ridingbet I don't have any idea if ever I had said something on her posts. I cannot see the comment button in her discussion.

Who knows why people do things? Perhaps they disagreed with a comment you made, or just didn't think it was worth their time. Or maybe they only want to interact with personal friends. I've found there are a lot of people online who think it's ok for them to tell people how they have to behave or "I'll block you", "I'll unfriend you", whatever. As much as I dislike people telling me I have to this or I have to that, I prefer that to people who just block without saying anything.
